What to Expect

And How To Prepare for Your Installation

Exterior pre-installation occurs between the time you sign up for service and your scheduled interior installation.

Overhead Installation

Note: Drawings are not to scale.

The fiber will be connected from the terminal to your residence by following your existing overhead power feed. Overhead exterior installation will occur the same day as your in-home installation.
Please move any obstacles that may be obstructing the path from the curb to your home, e.g., vehicles, RVs, planters, etc.

Underground Installation

Note: Drawings are not to scale.

If installation is happening underground, expect locates from Utilities in your area, marked by flags or paint in your area. Different colors of markings, denote the type of utility buried there.
Please move any obstacles that may be obstructing the path from the curb to your home, e.g., vehicles, RVs, planters, etc.

The fiber will be connected from the terminal to your residence by following your existing underground power feed. When underground trenching is needed, crews will utilize the least invasive trenching methods and will repair/restore the trenched areas.

You will need to be home for your interior installation.

Note: Drawings are not to scale.

Interior Installation will require drilling a small hole on the exterior of the home to the interior.
A junction box will be mounted to the exterior and fiber will run through a wall plate on the interior. This line will connect directly to your Gateway.

Installers will work with you to determine the location the fiber will enter your home and where your equipment will be located.

Our installers will help you decide the best placement of your equipment for optimal performance, which will likely be:

Note: Drawings are not to scale.

Where you use your internet most.

Upon completion, installers will ensure that your internet is working properly.
