Terms & Conditions
1 These rates apply to services provided at a private residence and used in a residential manner, subject to Trailblazer Broadband Terms & Conditions. All rates are subject to change. Additional, applicable fees and taxes may apply to the rates provided. All service equipment is the property of Trailblazer Broadband. A customer may not share or resell the service with or to other entities within the same residential premises, nor extend the service beyond the customer premises. Static IP addresses are not offered on residential services. Trailblazer Broadband Residential service is non-dedicated, symmetrical (same speed up and down) bandwidth. One Gbps is equal to 1,000 Mbps. Speeds are best-effort and not guaranteed. Fees, restrictions or deactivation of service may apply at Trailblazer Broadband’s sole discretion for abusive service or equipment usage. Good standing means compliance with all explicit obligations as stated herein and according to the Terms and Conditions of Trailblazer Broadband.
2 Activation of internet service. This includes a standard installation of internet services only which will follow the electric service path to the premise and the simplest entry method inside the premise near an electric outlet in a climate controlled space. Standard installs include hardware with ethernet ports to connect devices. TV and phone service must be purchased separately. Customers who do not keep service for at least 30 days after the install takes place, forfeit the first month’s service fee and any waived installation/activation fees. Customer or a designated representative who may sign on the customer’s behalf must be present at the time of installation to authorize fiber and equipment location. Trailblazer reserves the right to charge the waived installation fee if the installation is cancelled within 3 weeks prior to the scheduled installation date. Additional fees will apply for rescheduling or post-installation changes.
3 The Mountaineer Package Discount (“Mountaineer Discount”) is a promotional residential price and, when offered, the lowest available rate for eligible customers. Availability, terms, and any enrollment window may be modified, limited, extended, or discontinued at Trailblazer Broadband’s discretion as stated in the applicable offer or service-availability notice.
To retain the Mountaineer Discount, the account must remain in good standing with uninterrupted service and on-time monthly payments for a minimum of six (6) months from service activation. Cancellation before installation or within six (6) months of activation will result in an $89.95 early cancellation fee and may disqualify future eligibility for the Mountaineer Discount at the same address.
If service is active for less than six (6) months, any promotions, credits, or discounts other than the Mountaineer Discount—including waived or discounted activation/installation fees and complimentary service periods—are forfeited and may be reversed and/or back-billed. Any resulting balance must be paid in full prior to termination or closure. Trailblazer Broadband may remove discounts, apply fees, restrictions, or deactivation for abusive usage at its sole discretion.
The Mountaineer Discount may be extended to subscribers in good standing who transfer within the service area; standard activation/installation fees may apply. Newly developed residences, new utility sign-ups, and any activation after service availability is announced (including not-yet-serviceable transfers) are subject to the Mountaineer Discount &/or current terms, pricing, and promotions in effect at activation.
4 With Whole Home Managed WiFi, Trailblazer technicians provide and set up a high-performance WiFi unit designed to be placed in plain sight and recommend optimal placement. WiFi speeds vary based on home layout, interference, and device limitations and are not guaranteed. Whole Home Managed WiFi may include remote support from Trailblazer Broadband. Included with the Mountaineer and Trekker Packages; standard rates, terms, and restrictions may apply.
5 Custom installation charges apply for work beyond a standard installation. Standard installation includes exterior fiber routing that follows the electric service path to the premise and the simplest interior entry near an electrical outlet in a climate-controlled space. Custom installations are reviewed and quoted (materials and labor) and must be paid in advance of work; after-hours/overtime charges may apply. All custom installation charges must be paid prior to scheduling the installation.
6 Seasonal Hold (6 Mbps). Seasonal Hold provides 6 Mbps service. An $89.95 activation fee applies unless the customer has maintained in good standing prior to requesting Seasonal Hold. Annual Seasonal Hold activation fees after 12 consectutive months or payment of the initial $89.95 activation fee is $29.95. Autopay is required.
Seasonal Hold must start on the 1st of the month. The minimum hold period is one (1) month and the maximum is six (6) months, and it may be used once every 12 months. The activation fee is due at the start of the hold.
Full service may be reactivated on any day of the month. Partial-month charges may be prorated and will be billed at reactivation. Allow up to three (3) business days to restore full service. Hold end dates may be changed up to one (1) business day before the scheduled end date, subject to the maximum hold period.
At the scheduled return date, services resume without a new installation or service visit, and pre-hold services and rates will be restored. Customer equipment must remain on premise during the hold. Seasonal Hold may not be available for all services.
The account must remain in good standing during the hold period. “Good standing” means the customer has complied with all applicable service terms and payment obligations.
7 Packages include all terms and conditions as stated in the internet service package selected. Nokia Beacon(s) for use with mesh networking are high performance devices designed to optimize the Whole Home WiFi experience. A $25 one time activation applies to each mesh unit in addition to the monthly fee. Beacons may be recommended by your installation technician or technical support and are optional.
8 Services previously installed are permanent. All equipment and materials remain the property of Trailblazer Broadband. Relocating service from its original installation location requires a new installation and is not included with any waived activation fee (including the Mountaineer Discount) or standard activation fees. Payment is required in advance of any work. Service relocations are subject to a minimum $200 fee and must meet reasonable, standard relocation criteria; any custom work will be quoted and approved prior to installation.
9 Payment is due on the 1st day of each billing cycle. After a twelve (12) day grace period, a $5 late fee applies and the account becomes subject to the past-due process, including suspension at or after 28 days past due and a reactivation fee. Repeated suspensions may result in termination, and unpaid balances may be sent to collections.
